Erks lose final by 8 |
Erks lost the London Met Plate final by 8 to Westminster in another scrappy low scoring game, against an athletic Warriors squad who fielded 4 of their NBL Division 1 team including leading scorer Pierre Henry-Fontaine and high-flying forward Leon Bernard. In the absence of Dela Agbolegbe, the Erks struggled to advance the ball up the court in the face of unrelenting full court pressure from the Warriors and only the Warriors poor shooting kept us in the game. Hopes were high after a late 3rd quarter run saw us close within 2 points. However we turned the ball over repeatedly at the start of the 4th quarter and never looked like coming out on top.
Squad: Churches, Bailey, Hayden, Overare, Atkinson, McCusker, Denchfield, Herd, Passacantilli

Shambolic Erks |
Wandle completed the league double over Erks on Monday after a shambolic performance from the Erks.
With Mark & Irfan failing to appear and Rela turning up at the end of the first quarter, the Erks played most of the first quarter with only 4 players comprising Declan, Garbage Time Dave, Ed & Chims. The home team took full advantage and quickly went out to a 24 - 8 lead.
Erks rallied but the home side were playing with confidence and never looked back. The closest Erks got to was within 9 but never really looked like coming away with anything other than a loss.

Erks knocked out of Cup |
Erks were knocked out of the cup on Friday by 1st Division team Middlesex
University. An understrength Erks team had to rely on 40 minutes each from
Martin Overare and Fun Ed Bailey as the only Erks forwards available on the
day.
Erks led 21 - 16 at the end of the first quarter and 34 - 31 at half time.
However a 10 - 0 run by the home side at the end of the third saw Erks trail
for the first time and couldn't find the points to take the game.
Erks now enter the plate competition with all other first round losers.
